Purple Turns To Red

Here's another example one of my original mixed media canvases, this time through a red filter.

It has a lot of texture and was painted when I was going through my drips phase. Actually I don't think I've every stopped playing with dripping. It's so much fun!

The paintings true colours are various shades of purple and I've shown it before in monomad. Maybe one day I will post the original! 😊

I painted this one using acrylic paints and mediums with torn up vintage paper ephemera and tissue paper.

I painted many layers and then sanded and ripped back to allow different aspects to show through.
