Eat Your Cabbage - Or Maybe Not!
There are a lot of these ornamental cabbages around at the moment and, although, they are primarily meant for your garden, you can eat them if you get hungry! 😁
They are a sort of mixture of vegetable and bedding plant and can also be used as cut flowers.
Ornamental cabbages are pretty straightforward to grow although they suffer from the same predators as normal brassicas.
Seeds should be sown in spring in well-drained compost and they should last in containers and window boxes for much of the winter. They are happy in full sun or partial shade but, generally, the brighter the light the better the colour.
I love the soft focus around the edge of this photo and the fact that you can see the water droplets.
