Kayaks in the Scottish Isles

This photo was taken on the Isle of Jura. Most years my partner and his friend set off from the West Coast of Scotland and spend 10 days kayaking around the islands.

Where they go depends upon the weather conditions.

They camp on beaches or in bothies, play backgammon and chess by firelight and generally enjoy getting away from it all.

I also enjoy the peace and quiet of an empty house but 10 days is long enough! 😁
