The first thing I noticed when I stepped out of my front door was the blanket of white that covered the ground. It was snowing heavily and the flakes were falling from the sky like feathers from a pillow. I walked past the park, where the swings were covered in snow and the trees were dusted with a layer of white. It was a peaceful scene, one that I wish I could've stopped and enjoyed for a little longer. But I knew I had to hurry, as I didn't want to be late for class.
