While we do have the potential to evolve. we also have the potential to devolve and have done both in the past... In my experience, people think just enough to feel they have freewill, but never actually define what freewill truly is to understand it's much more limited than they'll ever admit. There are exceptions to most rules and that's just enough for people like you to believe the majority aren't cattle(maybe not the best example for some cultures). In my experience 85% are followers, only 1% leaders and the rest a mix
