Ok, now let me share my morning watercolor sketch.

Materials

Any waterbased markers (I used twin markers from Arteza)
Watercolor paper
Small-Medium round brush
Water
Paper towel or napkin

I already had my pencil sketch prepared here. It’s a super easy drawing, and I mainly was concentrating here on the coloring part.

First I traced my sketch with a black liner, and started to trace the starfish with a ruby redarker.

Then I apply water to the starfish beginning from the center. After that I just spread the ink, that’s already there from the edges to the center, it should spread easily since the paper is wet.

Here I trace the starfish again with ruby red and spread the ink to the center again, because I want the color to be intense.

Next step is the sand surface. I wet the area with clean water and then get the marker in on my palette and from there pick it with the brush. Basically it’s like working with watercolors. Why I like this method even if it seems to complicated, is that colors are clean, no grains of paint, perfect for light sketching.
