Hello friends,
When we went on our vacation to Colorado, we had a layover at Houston airport. It wasn’t too long, maybe little over an hour. My husband took us to American Express lounge. Apparently the platinum card holders can go to their lounge for free. That includes their cafeteria or restaurant, I don’t know about the alcohol, we didn’t have any. We had hot meals, with salads, juice, and hot tea.
As we came to the front desk, we had to show our cards and our ID. Then some nice lady said we have to wait but not too long. She went to check if there are any spots available. She came 2 minutes later and said there was one table available, and it might be a bit tight. We agreed to that, and when we came it was just right. There were some people sitting close to our table, but they left pretty soon.
We went to check what kind of food was there, because we were hungry. I was surprised to the amount of choices. There were steamed veggies, fresh salads, two kinds of soups, rice, cutlets, vitamin drinks (ginger/orange), and even chocolate dessert. We tried almost everything, and they had and it was delicious.
This is my plate. The great thing about the buffet is that whether guests are vegans or meat eaters they could find there something to eat.
This is an Asian restaurant decor that I thought looked pretty.
My youngest kid edited this photo while we were waiting for our plane take off. I kind of like it:-)
Here are some more photos through our illuminator.
Well, we enjoyed our very first experience with the American Express lounge, and I look forward visiting it again. The food was high quality (almost like home made), and we were happy to avoid fast food with our kids.
I hope you enjoyed the photos.
