This drawing here is a great mark in my art journey, especially my pen drawings.
It is the first portrait I can remember I consciously did with pen and it sparked the zeal to pursue the aim of becoming good in pen drawings.
It's from 2017, a portrait of my elder sweet sister in her NYSC uniform.
I was so desperate to learn how to cross-hatch but on this piece I just figured out that it was only hatching technique I used.
I had issues with proportions, the eyes balancing to the other, the nose, the lips and the ear but I still rendered it out.
I really loved it when it was all done and yes big sis liked it too and that really gave me some spirit of fulfillment.
All I can say now is that if big sis had shun me or displayed some ill feelings towards the work, I wouldn't have been able to boldly put it out there because this drawing was my very first drawing I put out on my social media accounts.
I am super grateful for the supports big sis has been showing towards my art.
