How often coincidence seems deliberate. We had our discussion about empathy and then I find myself getting ready to post the following:

“He has obviously realised that those with powers killed the women and children and he is out to get revenge for them. This is going to need very careful handling, I sense he would not like having his soft spot exposed.”

“Soft spot!? He killed my Robert!!” She was outraged.

“Technically speaking I killed him, making it appear as if he died.” I sighed. “You Cherines are a puzzle. The soul of empathy, making all Cherines become creatures of love and yet you can be so hard and unforgiving sometimes.”

“Having empathy, understanding why someone does something does not mean we have to always forgive.” my Cherine answered.

“You must be joking! I thought it meant you put yourself in the other person’s shoes and feel what they feel?”

“And so? Whatever you feel Robert, whatever your reasons, if you know what you are doing is wrong and don’t restrain yourself, then you are in the wrong.” the other Cherine replied.

“What if you can’t?”

My Cherine answered, “Why do you think I forgave our Henry? I even love the idiot.”
