I explain it at the end of each of my posts - but here goes.

I have been on Steemit for more than 2 years. I make (usually) from one to three posts a day.

I have not drawn one cent to even pay for a cup of coffee.

I never liked the flagging system and when I saw small posters being flagged for petty resons I would fight against it - sometimes fighting against the 'whale' accounts and getting flagged viciously by them for not minding my own business.

Then, with the latest HF, they not only made it easier to flag, but also forced all of us to fund their flagging (if we must not use bid bots as it rapes the reward pool, depriving the desrving members, why is taking money from the reward pool for supporting flagging not also rape?

I am not totally against flagging; when people run scams or copy material from others, then they deserve to be flagged.

However, because you do not agree with what I say, for political, cultural or religious reasons, it does not justify flagging. If you think that does not happen, go check the comment page of #bloom - he is a prolific flagger and flags all those who do not believe in what he believes and he openly says so.

A lot of new accounts have been opened for one reason only: for flagging.

What they do is spend 3Steem for an account. Put in a bit of an SP and make one post so that their Rep goes up a little and then...they wait 7 days and start flagging. That is all they do, and they know you cannot hit back at hem as they do not have posts or comments open to your flagging them.

I asked that the rules be changed and the flagging button should not work if that account has not made a post within the last 3 days.

Since the HF, I found myself being flagged, even when I make a (3 page of original text and images) post and am rewarded by only a 30c (US$0.02c) worth of upvotes and I am flagged by these 'new'/dead accounts.

I do not accept that anyone has the right to flag me, if they do so without a serious reason. The fact that most of the flags are worth zero cents and do not reduce my earnings is not important. Flagging insinuates the poster did something criminal.

The only way to stop these creeps who are destroying it for many posters, is by deciding I do not want money, I just want to post my stories so that, should someone like them, they can come here to read them.

I use what I am allowed for helping new posters, but otherwise, I only look at posts I think may be interesting or made by someone who is talented.

I hope I helped you understand the why. In case you are thinking, but then he will not post often...over the last 8 days I have made over 22 posts (each one of the equivalent of 10 pages of text and images).

What many of the witnesses and whales forget is that the good poster, who takes pride in what he creates, will find flagging insulting - and that is adding to the fact that the low value of Steem means they make posts so as to earn a few cents, which is also insulting. I would rather give my material away for free.
