I was born and raised in East Africa. Mostly in what was then Tanganyika. Then spent (10 years each) in Athens (Greece), London and Cyprus. I've been here since 1990. Also lived for one year in Sydney (Australia).

From spending most of my life wanting to think of myself as a citizen of the world, I've ended up wanting to think of myself as Greek or/and Cypriot. It is why my long novel was set in those two countries, for it gave me the opportunity to mention some of what I love about their cultures.
