I checked out his gallery (on line) and I liked a lot of what he has done. Odd that he turned to religion - I suppose it is better than cutting off your ear.

John, as I told you I have got stuck on the story I am writing. Then something strange happened and I returned here to write of it without interfering in your latest post.

I wrote a story some time ago and posted it on Steemit. I had only one comment, from a writer and it made up for being ignored by everyone (I never consider votes an indication that anyone approved of my post, since they mostly are sent by bot).

On a related platform (PALNet) I reposted "Magic - Only If You Want It", because I reread it and found myself confounded by my writing it - it is not my style and I only wrote it because I dreamt it.

Just now I saw it has a comment and it said that he really likes it. This person rarely enthuses about my writing and he does not usually read this kind of story, so it meant something to me.

As I hinted, it pleased me, so I made a coffee and sat back, wishing I could get back to my story and as I thought of Darren, a feeling of sadness came over me. I realised I had imagined he was grieving, but grieving fades away. What he felt was a sadness that sank into him and and though there will be times of laughter, of love and happiness, always that sadness will be there.

Now Darren has opened to me and I think I'll be able to write. The strange thing is, it does not even matter if the story is told as well as it could be by someone of talent like you - what matters is that Darren is sharing with me and I am writing for him.
