“It amazes me that after so many years you still are a puzzle Robert. Surely the qualities that arouse you sexually are not compatible? You find the innocence of little girls exciting and yet you are also aroused by intelligence and strong personality. Surely if the second and third are true you would prefer mature women?”

“You are ignoring something very important Marian.”

Cherine frowned, but her mother did not notice. “I don’t have a clue, tell me.”

“What would be the point of my preferring adult women? Have you met one yet that was attracted to me?”

I was teasing, but the reaction of Cherine and then all my girls showed me I had been thoughtless and hurt them. I was not certain how I should go about mending fences, so I kept my mouth shut. Soon as I heard Allan’s voice I groaned silently; whether on purpose or because he is trying to help, somehow I end up in trouble when he speaks.

“He did not mean to insult you. He was trying to make fun of his own insecurities, not comment on why you love him.”

Empathia said sadly, “We understand that Allan, but it would be nice if he did prefer us as adults. We could then enjoy being children now and then. It might even be fun.” That last comment of hers was wicked!

Sam had tried to sense if I was tearing myself apart and her eyes smiled. “He has loved and been loved by adult or at least more mature girls. Dommi and Lynda. Don’t forget that Anna, Smaragda’s mother, also made a play for him.”

“That doesn’t count.” Cherine said. “Anna was not a Cherinian then and wanted to use his powers for herself. As for Lynda, she can best answer for herself.”

“And me?” Dommi asked.

Cherine laughed. “And you.”

“I fell in love with him as a child. I’m not certain you should count me as an adult.” Lynda said.

“But you still loved him when you reverted to your real age.”

“Would I have if I had not become a child and loved him? I don’t think I would have seen what I did in him, as an adult.”

I laughed, delighted by my idea. “Cherine, you and Sam can’t speak. You both fell in love with me as adults.”

*We did?* They asked each other and looked back at me again.

“Of course you did. As adult men.”

That sent them off on another round of teasing. When Alki and his family decided to go home, he pulled me to him and gave me a bear hug. “I enjoyed today. It is good to see how you have matured.”

“Empathia?” He nodded. “I’m getting wise to her ways. She searches for your weak link and attacks you through it. She tries to strengthen you by forcing you to face your nightmares. If anyone else did it, I might have had doubts. Perhaps I just might take her up on it. I’ll enjoy seeing her play happily as a child.”

“Don’t be too much of a bastard.” Marian warned as she kissed my cheek.

“I better leave with you Alki. Give us a moment.” Allan and his girls kissed everyone goodnight and they all left.

Soon as we were alone, Syrina aged herself to about six. She sat on the carpet in the nude, absentmindedly scratching her tummy just above her lovely bump. I stared at the skin as it reddened where she’d scratched. isi-mi-Metti sat by her, the front part of her body raised as she rested an arm over Syrina’s leg.

“Dad, can isi-mi-Metti stay with us tonight?” She looked at Sam. “Would you mind?” I found this interesting, is my Sam a prude like I am, or will she agree to isi-mi-Metti watching?

Sam diplomatically replied, “Even if I agree Syrina, her parents will have to be asked.”

4182

“I don’t think Robert will mind.”

Sam said, “No. Her original mother and father. We do not know all their customs and courtesy demands we ask them.”

“If they agree?”

Sam stared intensely, emoting just a hint of sadness. “You must tell them exactly what it is you want her to be part of. Syrina, I think you will be wasting a lovely moment for yourself.”

“For myself?”

“Yes. The two of you are real close sisters, wouldn’t you want your first time of being loved to be the first time isi-mi-Metti watches also?” Whatever Syrina had been planning was soon forgotten by the all too obvious excitement by isi-mi-Metti. Sam knew I’d been eager to see how she handles it and I chalked up a point for her. She’s managed to pass the ball without revealing her own attitudes.

When we were ready to move to the bedroom, Samantha jumped to have a shower in one of the extra bathrooms. When I came out of the bathroom she was lying on the bed dressed again in a nightie and panty. She knew what she was doing. The sight of her slim legs, I thought, must be one of the loveliest sights I’ve ever seen. I sat next to her and ran my hands down her arms and then her legs, just enjoying the soft warmth of her. Her eyes were huge as she stared at me and she looked so sweet and virginal wrapped in her pink nightie that it was as if I have never loved my little girl before, my excitement and need to see and feel her so strong. There was a wonder in her eyes as she felt me and I sensed how her own body reacted, building my own fires to a white hot heat.

I treated her as if she really is as young and innocent as she looked, careful not to allow my hands to stray under her clothing, as if I had to woo and seduce her without frightening my little girl. I concentrated on loving her arms and face. Normally the other girls would have already been caressing and kissing her, but feeling how we were treating each other, they lay quietly, concentrating on our feelings and the sensations of our bodies.

I may have suggested it before, but I’d like to make it clear now, there was no need in me to tear into her body. At moments like these, I am overcome by the beauty and fragility, the delicate appearance of a child only making me yearn to endlessly caress, kiss, taste and smell her sweet little-girl scents. When my fingers touch those slim boyish legs I could cry from the ache of her beauty and as I taste them, loving them so-so softly, I wonder how it is that I can ignore them for days on end when I should be dedicating my life to adoring them, her legs, arms, her face, her soft flat chest, the trim tightness of a healthy beautiful child. If I add to that the sparkling loveliness of a mind that is gentle, loving, always curious and alert, constantly looking for ways to show me she loves me, then I am faced with a sum of beauty that should only exist in fairytales. I’m amazed I don’t melt into a puddle of pure love.

To take her nightie off I stood her on the mattress and kneeling before her I slowly raised it. Such hunger coursed through me as the hem rose and I saw her thighs, then the first glimpse of her panty. I stopped as I reached her waist and stared at her beauty, wanting to bury my face in the soft warm flesh of her tummy. Sam sighed, a reaction to her own arousal, not of exasperation, and she raised her arms above her head. She was pulling her tummy in (because of her raised arms) and I saw the jut of her rib cage. I raised the cloth to her tiny nipples and stopped again, filled with tenderness and love. I looked into her eyes and she softly said, “Oh Robbie!” as she felt my emoting, her heart flooding with love for me.

4183

I handed the nightie over to Shelif and with Sam still standing I ran my hands over her body, feeling how soft it is; up her back, loving the gentle curve and clearly felt muscles and bone under her soft feminine flesh. Soon my lips were following my fingers. I sat down and she placed herself on my lap, her arms reaching around my neck as we kissed.

To me the greatest turn-on was sensing how she enjoyed the scent and taste of my body, the rougher texture, the hardness. Everything about it was so personal, so focussed, that no way could I ever mistake her pleasure as just being the pleasure of loving a man; my Sam, as all my girls have done till now, shows it in all ways possible that it is me, I, Robert, the one she enjoys and hungers for.

When Sam settled herself over me, we both reached our explosions far too soon - I would have been happy to spend a few more hours loving her. I raised her and turning her around placed her back on my chest. I held her tightly to me as we kissed. We were soon on fire again and this time passion claimed her rights with a vengeance, trying to burn out our nerve endings. This night had been just too beautiful for us to spoil it by any further loving and after some gentle caresses we all fell asleep.

S: Happy now Arthur? I could never write about sex like Robbie does.

Today is a strange day for me. It is as if the love of last night echoes throughout me, altering the way I see the world and myself. In a way, it is as if the effervescent energy motes of my soul have leaked into my bloodstream and my thoughts.

As beautiful as these moments are, they also have highlighted some darker thoughts, for they are worries I dare not examine too closely, for if I am right and there is nothing I can do about it, I will not be able to hide my grief.

Cherine keeps herself an eight year old in appearance, but with all I have recently been learning about her, I can see she no longer is that little girl Robert first fell in love with. She has changed and is still changing. It is not only in the ways Robbie spoke of and there is a tremor in my thoughts, as if a part of me sees deeper and is afraid, but without letting me see why.

If it is her fate, there is nothing I can do. However, I worry that Arthur may be a part of it, that he has a future planned for her without it taking into consideration her happiness.

R: What Sam writes of, many of us sense all is not as it should be, but I do not see the hand of Arthur in it, I think something within Cherine is altering her, but I do not know what. Sammy, my love, all we can do is be by her side and ready to offer whatever support we can. I know you want to ask, but the answer is ‘no’, my protector instincts are not clamouring in warning. I think our fears are mostly just the fears born out of our love for her and the dislike of what we think of as perfect, changing, evolving.

We went planet side on an extended visit. It is amazing what they have achieved within months. They are almost ready for another three million returnees, only extra sewerage needing to be placed. After consultation I suggested they prepare for five million while we left to collect the pipes and adapted food machines.

Before we departed, the girls all asked to stay on planet so that they can enjoy the natural beauty while also becoming friends with more of the Meéjeirans. I was upset, when I returned, to find out that they had gone swimming in the ocean, but since there were no bad effects I did not make an issue of it. As for making friends, they mostly did so with the very young, sensing that they are the ones who need it most.

I delivered the adapted food machines and pipes and when the scientists went on planet to help them solve other problems we spent a few more weeks jumping to their planet to spend most of our days there. For once, Sam did not feel she had to organise or solve problems and played with the girls and their new friends.

F*ck it, I’m not carrying on like this! Now I’m really pissed off. I’m not going to continue if this is how you intend acting.

You insult our Sam, you hurt her and despite her still trying to write here for you, you sulk like a spoilt kid and refuse to answer or be a part of our lives. At first when we did not want you to be a part of it, you refused to stay away, imposing yourself upon us. Now that many have grown to care about you, you dare to think you are entitled to punish us by ignoring us.

We will not be writing in this diary - after all, we only write here for your sake. I warn you, if you do not say something soon I will compress and encrypt these files for many years before anyone bothers to look in them again. As a matter of fact, we will not even use this computer.

S: You should have seen Robbie’s face when you wrote that. He thinks I’ve gone crazy because I am laughing. I know you too well my sweet Arthur. You were teasing because you have suddenly got over your hurt and anger. Robbie says I must be wrong, nobody can change that suddenly. I explained that maybe you are still upset, but you could not resist the humour of your retort. Do I know you well my Arthur?

isi-mi-Metti says you are the great father and she sends her greetings.

I know you love me as I am, so I will be brutally honest. You asked that we share with Allan in ‘real time’. We did not spend days experiencing what you did, not in our body time. Subjectively, in our minds, we did. We lived through the accident, shared your thoughts and then spent the night with you as you suffered. Arthur, you are a bit of a fraud!

You said you suffered because of the thought that you nearly killed children. That was only half the truth. You were also afraid you would go to jail, your life be ruined because you were driving without a licence. What I’m saying is not meant to detract from the fact that when you imagined children being hurt or killed you suffered.

The fact that you returned here, does it mean you are better now?

Occultists teach that our consciousness transcends our physical body

Occultists teach that each of us is an immortal soul who has
temporarily incarnated into the physical world.

Occultists teach that the universe is a series of planes. Each
plane is a world unto itself.

Occultists teach that each of us has facilities for interacting with
at least 4 of these planes. These facilities are called "vehicles" or
"bodies" and we have four of them: a physical body for interacting with
the physical world (or plane), an astral body for interacting with the
astral world/plane, a mental body for interacting with the mental
world/plane and a buddhic body for interacting with the buddhic
world/plane.

4186

Each plane is a world, a giant world full of all kinds of strange and exotic places and creatures with sights and sounds that dwarf anything we know of here in the physical world.

In the most commonly accepted schemes of the planes, it is taught that there are seven planes and that we humans can access the 4 lowest planes.

The common names of the seven planes are:

  1. Physical Plane (which includes the Etheric Plane)
  2. Astral Plane
  3. Mental Plane
  4. Buddhic Plane
  5. Atmic Plane
  6. Anupadaka Plane
  7. Adi Plane

The Astral Plane. The astral plane is described of as a world of emotion and desire. On this plane our emotions and desires are actually * living creatures *. Also, according to occultists, the astral plane
is where people go immediately after they die. "Dead people" (actually, "discarnate" people) do not stay forever on the astral plane, it is only a temporary stop after death. In this regard, the idea of "purgatory" is related to the idea of the astral plane.

Also on the astral plane are a whole host of creatures and inhabitants that are native to that plane, such as faires, devas, and other such things.

Believe it or not, according to occultists, the astral plane is also where we go at night when we dream. When you are in a dream, you are quite literally in the astral plane.

The Mental Plane. The mental plane is the world of all thoughts and ideas. On the mental plane, thoughts are REAL OBJECTS, and these objects are called "THOUGHT-FORMS". "Thoughts are things" is a common idea in occultism, and this idea refers to the fact that thought-forms exist as real live things on the mental plane. The mental plane is a dynamically brilliant world of ever-shifting abstract landscapes of colour, sound and sights that would probably make the ordinary person go stark raving mad if they could actually see the mental plane for what it is.

The mental plane overlaps substantially with the astral plane, and there is every good chance you will see numerous thought-forms as you learn to astral project. However, chances are very good that you will NOT ever perceive the mental plane as distinct from the astral plane, so chances are good you will never see the stuff that could make you lose your mind. The reason this is so is because it takes a lot of talent to get to the mental plane.

The Buddhic Plane. According to occult ideas, this is the highest plane that we can access as humans, within the context of what we understand as a "human being". In effect, the buddhic plane is the realm of our soul. The energies of the buddhic plane that we use in our daily life are the following: inspiration, great creativity, compassion, wisdom, will-power. It is by these types of behaviours that the buddhic plane "leaks" into our regular physical lives.

In and of itself, the buddhic plane is supremely abstract and extremely powerful. Just like the mental plane, it is very unlikely that you will ever go to the buddhic plane in a projection. It takes even more talent to focus your consciousness exclusively on the buddhic plane than it does for the mental plane.

However, learning to access the energies of the buddhic plane will be critical for your continued success astral projecting.

4187

…See, when you project, you will be somewhere, and in this somewhere (whether we call it a "plane" or whatever) all the things you think are subjective will become * objective *! What this means in practical terms is that, when you astral project, you will confront yourself, your own personality, in ways that are totally different than how you relate to yourself when awake here in the physical plane. For example, if you have phobias in your personality, these may become monsters that try to attack you in your astral projection. Such an experience will more likely than not scare the **** out of you, and, if you don't understand what's going on, such an experience may completely scare you away from astral projecting ever again. So, its EXTREMELY important that you understand that, in a sense, during a projection, your personality is "outside" of you, and not "inside" of you as it appears to be here in the physical world. In a very strong sense, astral projecting is a form of therapy, of self-therapy.

….Your consciousness of your self is like a healing fire…

Unlike almost any other activity we humans know of, you CANNOT be a moral retard and succeed at projecting. You can be a moral retard (i.e. have no moral values whatsoever) in art, science, business (where you actually have an advantage!) or other activities of life, but you cannot if you want to succeed at astral projecting. If you DO try to project and at the same time stay morally poverty stricken, well, it is then that astral projection can be dangerous. It is just built like this.

Though morals seem like subjective gobbledygook in our physical life, they are, in reality, the laws upon which our entire human existence is based. Just as we need to know the laws of gravity to build a spaceship, we likewise need to know the laws of moral behaviour to succeed at ANY occult task. The only time occultism is dangerous is if you use it in an amoral fashion.

5. Atmic plane. On this plane, what we think of as "human" no longer makes any sense. There are no individual personalities on this plane. Seth, from the Seth material by Jane Roberts, reflects what the atmic plane is like. Here, consciousness exists as the simultaneous experience of a number of incarnations. Sure, we can say the concept easy enough, and even understand intellectually the idea. However, the actual direct experience of this state of consciousness is totally outside of our scope. Over our head! If you can get your consciousness to focus on this level, then "you" will no longer exist! Good Luck!

6. Anupadaka Plane. Even more abstract than the atmic plane. Here everything bleeds into everything else. Extraordinarily abstract! Again, we might conceptualise the idea of everything being a part of everything else, but on this plane, that's the way it * is *! No dualisms either - all the contradictions are inside of each other! Mind Candy! Overload!!!!! Again, good luck out here!

7. Adi plane. God is here. If atmic and anupadaka were weird, well, this is the weirdest of 'em all. Completely beyond anything we humans can say, do, feel, think, etc. Yet, adi is the very essence of everything. Look for the billboards with all the great mystic's names on them! I can say this though, the more buddhic energy you have in your aura, the better a feel you get for adi.

…………. Another thing I have consistently experienced in my projections is the fact that sometimes when I project I am somewhere but other times I am * nowhere *. In the journal I keep of my experiences, I call the "somewhere" "episodes", and I call the "nowhere" I go the "void".

When I am in an episode I can be anywhere - for there are a lot of places to be in the planes! It may be a sunny meadow, a strange abstract coloured landscape, a dark scary place full of zombies, a mall, house, suburb (yes, all these things exist on the astral plane!). Any time I am anywhere in a projection, I call it an "episode".

The void is altogether different. Imagine being in a completely dark, completely silent place with nothing in it. This is what the void is.

Meli: I have been reading up on Eastern philosophies so I was aware of most of what you mention above. It seems his opinions are influenced by his Western upbringing and I’ll search for the article. Thanks.

You are trying to avoid us discussing our parexigisi? (misunderstanding) or are you just an overgrown kid that gets caught up in new excitements? Is this meant to be your ‘assumption’ gift working for you to make us drop the subject? As you see, it is not working, I want to clear the air.

What a gruesome image - would you use a whip? Sorry, my humour was a bit juvenile. Arthur, we do have things to clear up.

R: You are sick! I was right! I’m going to leave communications with you to Sam.

If, or rather, when we have a son, though we will all love him to be ours, we all agree that child must be born of Cherine only. Since I’m fond of horses, I suppose I better get back to our normal writing.

We left Haven’s world to return to the alternate Meéjeira world, but first Robbie collected minerals they need (on his own, only a few non-family with him) and soon as the official functions are over we are going to visit the local Terra.

Since we are not allowed to jump interstellar distances, Robbie made a detour, for Candy’s sake, to collect Iziko, our favourite Sprakil. He was happy to join us and he spent much of that evening gazing at the Sparklers with Candy sitting next to him gaily chatting away.

At Terra, Arnie showed his pleasure at seeing us and Robbie took time off to sit with him for a long chat. He told us the Terrans had gone into shock when they recalled the death of their world and then found themselves alive on a planet that is fertile and full of life again. Food machines have helped, but they need homes, clothing and a lot of other things to survive in parts of the world where it is Winter. The Cherinians are few and cannot help everyone and this has caused many Terrans to hate them.

Though the parents of Cher were also linked, things came to a head when her father entered a room and found them having oral sex. He attacked Robert and then ordered Cher to leave with him. Robert was inconsolable when she obeyed her father.

Eric told non Cherinians about Robert having sex with his little girl and a mob gathered to lynch Robert. Though they could not hurt him, the result was that all Cherinians were labelled as child molesters and monsters. The irony is that Cherinians were then forced to protect known child molesters as mobs tried to lynch them, which only served to confirm to Normals what they already believed about Cherinians.

The Unation had been preparing to visit with help, but they were warned away by the Cherinians. They stayed out of sight, but made deliveries of clothing, medical supplies and other items Terrans need to survive.

4189

No central government has survived and it seems that every town and village has its own warlord or dictator. Very few places have tried to organise themselves in a democratic manner. The only blessing is that all weapons had been destroyed and they have been forced to revert to bows and arrows. What angered all of us the most was when we heard that food machines were being stolen or looted, people killed for something not needed!

Robbie decided that all local Cherinians will have to be brought to Freddie. We still have a few villages available for them and within hours they were with us. They have not grown in numbers - mostly because of Eric breaking up Cherine and Robert.

We ‘saw’ that little Cher has maintained the links and she visited her Robert secretly, but both of them were suffering. Everyone was asked to stay away from the taverna so that only our family and alternates are present. Cher sat between her mother and father, emoting her unhappiness.

Cherine went to Cher and taking her hand walked off with her. They sat on the beach and Cherine opened her mind to Cher, allowing her to see how she met and loved our Robbie and how she nearly killed her mother when Marian tried to separate them.

“Cherine, you are a good girl and you feel you have to obey your parents. In everything else I would agree, but not when they try to keep you and Robert apart. As you need to breathe, so do you need each other. There are a number of things I expect you to do, but to start off we have to go to my home so that I can give you new clothes. Come with me.”

She jumped home and brought out clothes for an adult Cherine. “Age yourself and then put these on.”

Cherine had chosen wisely, the clothes make her look mature and Cher is just as stunning as our Cherine is when she is an adult.

“Soon as we get back to the taverna you will cut off the link with your parents. You are not to link them again until I have approved it. Understood?” Meekly Cher nodded.

Cherine bit her lips, staring at Cher. “Damn it! Get some fire in you, this is your Robert you are fighting for!”

Rosie sent to her mother, suggesting that Cher cut the links before returning. Cherine agreed and made Cher do it. From our side we watched the parents as they felt the shock of being cut off, of being entirely on their own, locked within their own minds.

Soon as they arrived, Cherine made Cher go to her Robert and leave with him. Cherine then went to the parents.

“Neither of you deserve to be Cherinians so you better get used to being as you are now. Your daughter, yes, that is her, she will remain an adult and you no longer will be allowed to interfere in her life.” While staring at them coldly, Cherine reached out and taking the feelings of the mother sent them to the father and then back again until both of them were shaking and sobbing.

Her voice was colder than we have ever heard it. “As Cherinians you must have felt how your daughter suffered, but you had no empathy. It was made clear to you from before that they would be having sex, that they would be loving each other, so you have no excuse. You have lost her now and when you return to your planet you will grow old and die while she and her Robert live forever. You knew that keeping them apart would break your daughter’s heart and that if she gave up, there would be no Cherinians on your world, condemning all existing Cherinians and yourselves to the future that is now yours.” Her voice turned even icier. “The choice was yours.” She paused, her eyes showing her anger, her voice staying cold, which is often her way when she is absolutely furious. “You even tried to make the Normals hate Cherinians! What the hell did you think your daughter is? You have jeopardised her existence out of petty-minded morals. Now leave us, you do not belong with our families.”

As Vincent took them back to their planet, Cherine stood, her body tense and shaking - not just from anger. Robbie was careful not to pull at Cherine and allowed Dommi to hold her soon as the parents were gone. His voice was tender as he spoke. “We may have helped the two of them, but how do we help a whole planet of fools?”

“Not all are fools. Tomorrow we collect those we think could be good Cherinians and bring them here.”

I said, “It could take us months Cherine, there could be millions of them.”

“I’m hoping they will be in the billions Sam. Let us start with a few thousand. When they return home they can link others as they find them.”

4190

“That will still leave billions of Normals. This could turn out to be a recipe for disaster.”

Robbie put his arm around Cherine and said to me, “The leaders of the Unation are coming to discuss the matter with us. We can only take it a step at a time, love.”

Apropos of nothing at all, as if talking to himself Allan spoke. “I must be getting old.” He looked at us as we turned to him, confused by his statement. “Small communities tend to be conservative. They have to be because they all know each other and create guidelines that make life run smoothly without too much friction. After all, if you expect you neighbour to care if you have problems, then your style of life must not rub him the wrong way. In large communities they do not wish to know their neighbour exactly so that they cannot be drawn into the problems their neighbours may have. As their lives become more isolated from all the qualities that give meaning to life, such as caring for others, they also grow more liberal, demanding the right to live their life as they want, though they usually pretend their liberal beliefs are out of concern for the rights of others.”

“Why does that suggest you are old?”

He grinned, amused by himself. “I have always considered myself a liberal - though I admit in many ways my instincts tend towards the conservative. I am almost fierce in my support of human rights and especially the individuality of people, even where they disagree with my instincts. Now I find myself beginning to lean towards the small town mentality. Some freedom is lost, but there is the comfort of knowing where you stand, of being part of a community.” He maintained his pose for a short while, even though he knew we could sense his emoting. Almost angrily he confronted us. “What else are we to do? Look at this world!”

“Are you trying to suggest a solution Allan? Whatever point it is you are trying to make, I admit I have not understood it.”

“I’d first have to understand myself what I’m trying to say for you to understand. Somewhere in all my gibberish I feel there is something waiting to be discovered or understood.”

Exasperated Robbie muttered, “Jesus!” and Allan retorted, “Yes, that may be part of the solution.” He stood up. “I better go home before I get crucified.” We know him well enough to refuse to let him go.

“You better explain yourself Allan.”

“What are Cherinians, Sam? Liberal or conservative?”

“My first reaction would be to describe us as being liberal, since the individual is of supreme importance, but I suspect you are going to claim otherwise.”

“The individual Sam? With empathy?”

“Are you saying that empathy makes us conservative?” Now it was Robbie who was upset.

“I don’t know how this will come out grammatically Robert, so don’t go attacking me. No person, Normal or Cherinian, is either conservative or liberal. The difference between individuals, in that respect, even just among the Normals is huge, but everyone is of both to varying degrees. I think Cherinians are made up of a different mixture, that is all. For us it is almost impossible to be of either extreme.”

Pedantically Claudia tried to analyse what he was saying. “You mean that if liberal attitudes of mine upset or hurt others I have to tone them down? If you are a liberal and have to tone down your beliefs for my sake, surely I the conservative Cherinian would have to, out of empathy, encourage you to be as liberal as makes you happy?”

“Isn’t it just as likely we would both compromise a little?”

Robbie laughed. “I should have remembered that Allan and Arthur both love starting conversations that sound interesting and convoluted, but lead nowhere.”

“Not fair dad. We may think so at the time, but if you look back on them some time later, you can see they were opening us to new ideas or at least to new ways of seeing those ideas.”

I hope you enjoy reading this story of fantasy, adventure and love - and should some of it be true for our reality, I hope you will love our Cherine.
