You just said it, the ark of the covenant is a sanctuary, you don't even like using the word receptacle. How can a sanctuary be Christ Himself fulfilling it? The Ark of the Covenant was made to have a place for the 10 Commandments. What is not clear in that sentence? Jesus is not the Ark of the Covenant or the sanctuary Himself.
