You can remediate the soil with things like sunflowers and hemp - no need to allow the poison to sit there and fester. How terribly disappointing - but arguably predictable. Why not put a little half-circle shaped gutter long the boundary of the land, so that water that washed down your way is diverted away from veggie area?
