Greetings, hivsartics. In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint (I hope later to be able to buy watercolor paints, as they are my goal). I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get creative.
The reason why I am talking about book leaves is because I own many books (some of them complete and some of them stripped) in deplorable conditions that have been damaged by humidity and even some rodents, but knowing their condition I decided to keep them, recycle their leaves and make art with them, apart from the one they already are. Because each book is a portal to learning, adventure or love. In addition, for this new line of art I also used old, scratched and deteriorated cd's. The idea certainly yielded a very colorful result and I was in loved, so I think I'll be doing this for a while.
For this installment N° 4 of "Painting CD's", I bring you a very simple work, a crescent moon and a flower in warm colors. A complete work of recycling turned into art. I loved the result, it's simple but beautiful, I hope you can enjoy it too.

Saludos, hivsarticos. En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura (espero más adelante poder comprar las pinturas de acuarela, ya que son mi objetivo). Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.
El porqué sobre hojas de libros es debido a que poseeo muchos libros (algunos completos y algunos deshojados) en estados lamentables que se han dañado por la humedad e incluso algunos roedores, pero sabiendo su estado decidí quedarmelos, reciclar sus hojas y hacer arte con ellos, aparte de la que ya son. Porque cada libro es un portal a la enseñanza, a la aventura o al amor. Además, para esta nueva línea de arte también utilicé cd's viejos, rayados y deteriorados. La idea sin duda arrogó un resultado bastante pintoresco y quedé enamorada, por lo que creo que haré esto por un tiempo.
Para esta entrega N° 4 de "Pintando CD's", les traigo un trabajo muy sencillo, una media luna y una flor en colores calidos. Un trabajo completo de reciclaje convertido en arte. Me encantó el resultado, es simple pero hermoso, espero que también lo puedan disfrutar.

Materiales de elaboración - Materials for the elaboration
- 1 page of a medium size antique book
-Brushes
-A pencil
-Black, red, pink, grey and green paint.
-Glue and scissors
- 1 hoja de un libro mediano antiguo
-Pinceles
-Un lapiz
-Pintura negra, roja, rosada, gris y verde.
-Pegamento y tijeras
One step in front of the other - Un paso adelante del otro
1. To begin we will gather all the materials on our work area, which of course must be clean, dry, well lit, quiet and free of distractions. The idea is to feel comfortable with the space to be able to carry out our work without inconveniences. Besides, the tranquility is for our creativity and inspiration to flow freely. In my case I usually paint in the early hours of the morning because the weather is cool, my anxiety appears at this late hour and this is my way to appease it, I also usually listen to music to feel even more at ease.
1. Para comenzar reuniremos todos los materiales sobre nuestra área de trabajo, que por supuesto debe estar limpio, seco, bien iluminado, ser tranquilo y libre de distracciones. La idea es sentirnos cómodos con el espacio para poder llevar a cabo nuestra obra sin inconvenientes. Además la tranquilidad es para que nuestra creatividad e inspiración fluyan con libertad. En mi caso suelo pintar en horas de la madrugada porque el clima es fresco, mi ansiedad aparece a estas altas horas y esta es mi manera de apaciguarla, también suelo escuchar música para sentirme incluso más a gusto.
2. Before starting to apply paint we must prepare our canvas and for that we will add glue on the cover of our CD that we are going to recycle, after spreading it very well we will glue it to the sheet, we will press fixing it very well and then we will let it dry. In my case I kept the rest for a possible craft later.
2. Antes de comenzar a aplicar pintura debemos preparar nuestro lienzo y para eso añadiremos pega sobre la caratula de nuestro cd que vamos a reciclar, luego de esparcirlo muy bien lo pegaremos a la hoja, presionamos fijando muy bien y luego dejaremos secar. En mi caso guardé el restante para una posible manualidad más adelante.
3. Since I am not good at applying paint directly on the canvas without any guide, I usually first draw what I am going to paint. In this case I drew with a dark graphite pencil a half moon and a flower. Even with a layer of paint you will be able to see everything, so it is perfect.
3. Ya que no soy buena aplicando pintura directamente en el lienzo sin ninguna guía primero suelo dibujar lo que voy a plasmar. En este caso dibujé con lapiz de grafito bastante oscuro una media luna y una flor. Aun con una capa de pintura se va a poder ver todo, así que es perfecto.
4. Once the canvas is ready, we can apply paint.
4. 1. We will begin by applying the gray paint on the half moon, delicately and without leaving the edges.
4. 2. Then we will outline the crescent with black paint. In my case I did it with an eyeliner that is used for makeup, for thin and precise strokes this is perfect.
4. 3. Finally in this phase we will outline the whole flower, and with everything outlined we can let it dry to apply the rest of the colors.
4. Ya con el lienzo listo podremosaplicar pintura.
4. 1. Comenzaremos aplicando la pintura gris sobre la media luna, con delicadeza y sin salir de los bordes.
4. 2. Luego delinearemos la media luna con pintura negra. En mi caso lo hice con un delineador que se utiliza para el maquillaje, para los trazos delgados y precisos esto es perfecto.
4. 3. Por ultimo en esta fase delinearemos toda la flor, ya con todo delineado podremos dejar secar para pasar a aplicar el resto de los colores.
5. For the color on the flower first apply the pink in the middle of each of the petals and let dry.
5. 1. Then we will apply the red paint to the tips of the petals and with the brush we will drag a little towards the middle so that the gradient can be seen and we will let it dry.
5. 2. In the center I applied gray because of the moon in the background, but you can apply white or yellow.
5. 3. For the center or what would be the birth of the petals I filled with black.
5. 4. For the leaves I used dark green and filled in. I also added some black outlining.
5. 5. For the moon I applied with a sponge a little black paint and some touches of white.
5. Para el color en la flor primero aplicaremos el rosado en el medio de cada uno de los petalos y dejamos secar.
5. 1. Luego aplicaremos la pintura roja para laspuntas de lospetalos y con el pincel arrastraremos un poco hacia el medio para que se vea el degradado y dejaremos secar.
5. 2. En el centro apliqué gris debido a la luna que se encuentra al fondo, pero pueden aplicar blanco o amarillo.
5. 3. Para el centro o lo que vendría siendo el nacimiento de los pétalos rellené con negro.
5. 4. Para las hojas utilicé verde oscuro y rellené. Además añadí un poco de delineado en negro.
5. 5. Para la luna apliqué con una esponja un poco de pintura negra y algunos toques en blanco.
6. To finish we will highlight some details, the color and in my case I painted with black eyeliner the Artemisart logo sealing my work.
6. Para finalizar destacaremos algunos detalles, el color y en mi caso pinté con delineador negro el logo de Artemisart sellando mi trabajo.
