Greetings, hivsartics. In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint (I hope later to be able to buy watercolor paints, as they are my goal). I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get creative.
Why on book leaves is because I own a lot of books (some complete and some unleafed) in deplorable states that have been damaged by humidity and even some rodents, but knowing their state I decided to keep them, recycle their leaves and make art with them, apart from the one they already are. Because each book is a portal to learning, adventure or love.
For this issue N° 11 I present a hummingbird approaching a flower. Lately I like line art a lot, the one that is achieved by drawing with a single stroke, like the effect of a thread. I really liked the result, although obviously I can improve for future deliveries.

Saludos, hivsarticos.

One step in front of the other - Un paso adelante del otro
Before starting, we must organize ourselves very well. Gathering all the materials we will use is a good start. We must also choose a quiet place, with good lighting, dry, spacious and cleanable. This way we will be comfortable and there will be no inconveniences to carry out our work.
First. Using a pencil I drew what I wanted to paint, in this case it was first the flower with some open petals and finally the hummingbird, the important thing is to maintain the fluidity of a single stroke, but the truth is that I had to erase several times to get it the way I wanted. But when I finally succeeded it was time for the next level.
Primero.
Second. With a highlighter I applied color in the center of the flower, it was something new, I didn't plan it but I wanted to see what the result would be.
Segundo.
Third. With red paint and the brush dipped in water I began to apply color, after completing all the petals, I continued with the orange paint on each one again, then proceeded to apply a little white in the center.
Tercero.
Fourth. With black paint and a poo of red I focused on the tips of each petal, which darkened each petal and the effect is nice.
Cuarto.
Fifth. To continue, I began to apply color to the hummingbird. For this I used purple and blue. I applied the paint directly, but I also occasionally wet the brush. Later I added a little white to give it points of clarity.
Quinto.
Sixth. Then I began to apply the black paint with the eyeliner, the thinness of its tip allows me to give that delicacy I needed to the contours of the flower and the hummingbird. It took two applications to get it right and I fixed with school glue the Artemisart logo created on paper on the leaf, a small detail to seal my work.
Sexto.
I really enjoyed making this piece. I understand that it can be better and I will work on it to make it better. That was it for this installment. I will see you in the next installment where I will share my art with you. I say goodbye to you with a song, because.... Why not? Blessings.
Bendiciones.
Nota: All the images used in this post are my own, taken with my Redmi 9A cell phone, modified in the Lightroom app and (to the cover) the Artemisart stamp has been added in the Canva page, where the stamp was also made. On the other hand, the separator and the welcome and farewell banners were also made by me in Canva. I saw this on a couple of blogs and thought it looked beautiful, so I wanted to give it a try.
