Hello friends. How are you doing?
Few days ago, I noticed that there is a contest for the Splinterlands game, and artists were sharing their awesome artworks, so I became eager to participate, too.
In this post, I’m going to share my entry for this contest.
Since I like drawing animals I chose cards which were related to nature, so there was this card, Uraeus, and wanted to draw it alone, but then I thought that it would look cool if I added another character, too, and then this idea popped up: what about a battle between 2 characters??! And here we are: a battle between Uraeus and Twilight Basilik.
Tell me who do you think would win?
And who are you rooting for?

cards I inspired from

Now here is some steps of drawing

While working on Uraeus, I did my best so that it wouldn’t look like a regular snake. I wanted it to look more scary and ferocious. I’m not sure if I portrayed it so or not.

One of the important things in drawing with graphite pencils is controlling your hand pressure because if you are not careful, you might end up ruining it.

And as always I’d be glad to receive your feedback on the drawing. Thanks!
