While searching for a reference for the prompt, I stumbled upon a picture and thought it’ll be good practice for foreshortening. It turned out to be, my favorite part was when I got to exaggerate some parts of her body. I wanted the work to feel alive, and for one to feel the excitement she feels while skateboarding ; )
I started off with a quick sketch of the reference photo. I made as many curvy lines as I could especially the ‘s’ curve from her head down to her belly. It helps to give a sense of balance and flow to the drawing. After sketch, I got painting. I made use of orange and yellow hues.
I can’t wait to paint something similar again!
