This home where it is green all around; nothing artificial, just pure luscious nature that can instantly calm your mind and soothe the spirits.
This home that still has the best sunrise and sunsets ever.
Where waking up, knowing your loved ones are just next to you, is pure bliss.
I miss the simple joys of breakfast at the veranda.
I miss the fact that you have to get up early and catch the pandesal vendor blowing his horn, announcing his arrival.
How about those homemade goodies, my auntie makes?
and the warm taho every morning...
Home, where animals are just within reach.
I miss home. It's been a year since we have last been here.
There is an undeniable feeling of warmth and comfort here that no other place can give.
How ironic, when the peso and a dirham are just of the same size, but the values are so different that we have to fly across the oceans to have it, and even have to give up the warmth of home, for the desert heat.
I left a piece of me in the Philippines. A part of my heart is there. It is constantly beating and calling me.
We can go beyond the mountains, reach the sky and skip across the seas, but I know,
THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME, BECAUSE HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.
All photos are mine, taken with my Huawei Nova 3i during our last PH vacation in 2019. Little Monster and Chuchay, the dog, and the Peso and the Dirham, in 2017 with my Samsung Note 3.
