Lovely Morning

I checked on the windows as I opened my eyes in the morning and saw very little dew. Yes! It's not too humid this morning, and it would be a great time for a short walk.

It's already 6:00am, so the goal is only one hour. As usual, I headed over to the Um Al Emarat Park where I also park my car most of the day to avoid parking fee!

I planned two laps around the park.

Catch Me.

There were already people jogging around. Some were doing their exercises on the grass, taking in that beautiful sunshine.

I noticed they put the nets around the date plam fruits to avoid them from falling to the ground as they ripen. The palm trees are short and within arm reach, so some nets have openings on them too. Perhaps some passers-by pick out the brown ones for a quick bite?

The sunshine was hitting the front side of the park and the upperside by the St. Joseph Church (first photo) that I decided to just take one lap and stay near the park entrance to do some stationary exercises while getting some sun.

These days, direct sun exposure is still very tolerable between 6:00am to around 8:00am. After that, it already burns a lot.

The rest of the day.

After driving hub to work, I made a quick side trip to the grocery to buy some food. I reached home at almost 11:00am and I did not want to walk from the parking at that time, so I risked just keeping the car close by. I have bad headaches these past days, I think because of my glasses and the extreme heat wouldn't help.

All was well, thankful that the days are too hot for the parking inspector to pass by near our house. Nah, I don't want to always risk it. I still need to make those sacrificial extra walks daily to get free parking.

My Actifit app gave me only 5k steps, while my phone pedometer clocked in over 7k steps. The app was not able to register the steps I made during grocery shopping though I kept it open. Huuhhh, what must I do?

I Am Alive!

Each morning we wake up is something that we should be thankful for. Seeing the beautiful sunrise is an extra blessing, and a reminder that we are given the chance to make a change.

That said, this blog is also my entry to flaxz@flaxz' #iamalivechallenge!

Keep safe everyone, and God bless.

❤️Arlyn
