"Who comforts us in all our tribulations, so that we may also console those who are in any affliction, with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God."
Blessings my friends of steemit.
Just as the spiritual gifts were not intended solely for the benefit of those who received them, but each believer, in turn, had to use them for the spiritual benefit of others, so too, the comfort received from God enabled the believers to comfort who needed it
That is the most important thing we must highlight on this occasion. It is something wonderful that we have in God, who can console us in all our afflictions. It is one thing to have consolation when the sun is shining and everything seems to be going well, and when someone encourages and stimulates us; but when we really need comfort it is in moments of sadness or when we have difficulties and problems.
And we will be able to see later that the apostle Paul experienced that kind of consolation when faced with afflictions and difficulties. It is that we need the security of the presence of God in all the circumstances of life. The area of greatest need for us is when we feel loneliness in the hours of despair in our lives.
Christianity is just a theory for many people. For others it is a profession. And for many professing believers, it is simply something like a dress or a dress that one puts on special occasions, and that is comfortable. It is a stagnant ritual and an empty vocabulary of meaning that does not reveal spiritual life. Dear listener, let us tell you that the test of Christianity is in the way of living this life. For the apostle Paul, it was not simply a theory, because he said in verses 5 and 6 of this chapter 1 of the Second Epistle to the Corinthians:
"As the afflictions of Christ abound in us, so our comfort also abounds through Christ, but if we are afflicted it is for your comfort and salvation, or if we are comforted it is for your comfort and salvation, which is done in the endurance the same afflictions that we also suffer. "
Dear friend of steemit, if you take the step of faith to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, accepting that He took your place on the cross, your whole life will begin to be transformed by the Holy Spirit of God, who will make the promises of God, bringing to his life new values, new goals, and a new positive perspective on this world and about eternal life, after death. I invite you, then, to test God and His Word, so that you can verify its veracity. Because God is faithful, and fulfills all his promises.
