You and I begin to live life with an old nature, man has no way of straightening human nature. There is an old saying that says: "Tree that grows crooked, its trunk never straightens". This is how it will grow. It will always be crooked because that's how it started. We can educate and do many things to improve but, as the Lord Jesus said in John 3: 6, "what is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit." He will always be flesh, a listening friend, and that is the reason why man needs to have a new nature, because, the Lord also said that: "That which is born of the spirit, is spirit." That is one of the great principles of existence.

For a while we thought that education would solve the problems of life. Higher education, indeed all education, has been examined by a large number of thinkers. There are others who have tried to achieve a certain type of solution. The commissions that in some countries have examined higher education have arrived at the novel explanation that the problems of discipline and the low moral level of many schools is due to the fact that young people today are investigating things more thoroughly and They are more interested in politics and what is happening in their world. Well, we will say that this is true, that there is a growing interest in these matters because we can appreciate the terrible things that are happening in the world. Media such as radio and television gather a large amount of information from all countries and transmit it on the spot. This makes it easier for us to be aware, more than ever before, of what is happening in the world. Another example of informative efficiency and computer technology in general is the speed with which election results are known in an election. In other times it was necessary to wait several days until knowing the result of a general election. And what will we say about the polls, which allow us to advance forecasts that are very close to the reality of who will be the winner and, even, the margin of advantage over the adversaries? Now, we believe that it is true that people today are very well informed and aware of the current state of national and international politics, as well as of armed conflicts, the rise of terrorism, the great wars, the drama of immigration, commercial tensions and the most serious problems facing society. But we do not agree with the implications that unrest and conflicts in schools is a sign of progress because people are better informed and more aware of the problems we have mentioned. There is a deterioration in the aforementioned schools, which reminds us of what the prophet said in the sense that bad things were going to be called good, and good things were going to be considered bad. How can situations of evident breakdown of discipline and deterioration of school performance be described as progress? We have to be realistic and define the situation as it is in reality and not as we would like it to be.

We have to recognize that education can not solve the basic problems of life. And many of the sciences that study especially human behavior can not provide an answer, a solution. These sciences occupy their respectable place as long as they take into account the place of God and the transcendence of the human being. Because the Word of God in its entirety contains, for Christians, the answer to the fundamental problems of life. Of course, there are no easy solutions. The study and application of the truths of the Bible requires believers a lot of time, discipline and effort. And that is what many Christians need in the present.
