I do use Dropbox and it does a better job that Drive, but it's an extra step to copy files over there. Using the Dropbox app makes that step a piece of cake. You also get the public URL from the app. Thanks

You may want to use your Dropbox account. Using Dropbox for your images on Steemit is easy and the images load very fast. Below is one of the free images, Boston City Flow, included with your Dropbox account.

IP address could be used. Blocking an IP address is not possible because that would block many innocent Steemians. Due to the shortage of IPv4 addresses many ISPs outside America use Carrier-grade NAT
