Ranjit sagar dam is such a beautiful dam that I have ever seen. We took our bike from Jammu at 6 AM and reached ranjit sagar dam at 12 PM. Ranjit sagar dam is 17 km away from Pathankot city center,is built across river Ravi for power generation,irrigation n drinking water supply. a joint venture of punjab and Jammu.
this place offer a surprisingly good view of the dam. Go there once if you get time .. it will be worth. Its a nice picnic spot near Pathankot. The views of lake and adjacent hills are beautiful. A great way to spend some peaceful time away from hustle and traffic of the city.
the scenery is breath taking do plan it as it is nearby and can be clubbed it with the Dalhousie trip ,as it is on the same route.
