The Blue Window - watercolors on paper

Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a glimpse of an ancient facade with pointed arches and walls marked by the passage of time. I took great care of the composition and definition of the objects as well as the colors of the painting. I colored the central window and the smaller window at the top with blue to balance the warm colors of the scene. Finally, I painted the part of the ìlightingî with lights highlighted by purple shadows and English red, so I tried to create a contrast of lights but in balance with the colors.

La finestra blu - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido uno scorcio di una facciata antica con archi a sesto acuto e mura segnate dallo scorrere del tempo. La composizione e la definizione degli oggetti l'ho curata molto come anche i colori del dipinto. Ho colorato con il blu la finestra centrale e quella più piccola in alto per bilanciare i colori caldi della scena. Infine ho dipinto la parte dell' ìilluminazione con luci messe in risalto da ombre violacee e dal rosso inglese, ho cercato quindi di creare un contrasto di luci ma in equilibrio con i colori.
