Stream in the woods - oil on canvas

Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a landscape painted in oil on canvas in which the main character is our beloved nature.

I have depicted my idea of a forest between lights and shadows, full of vegetation and tree foliage of different shades, greens, ochres and blues for the shadows.

As you can see from the brush strokes the color differences also generate the shading, and most importantly I avoided using black which is a color that dulls bright tones.

In the foreground I painted an old, weather-dried log with shades of brown to contrast the colors of the forest and creek water.

Finally, I colored the lights with white and light green on the fronds, trunks and branches to make the scene brighter.

Torrente nel bosco - olio su tela

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un paesaggio dipinto ad olio su tela in cui la protagonista è la nostra amata natura. Ho raffigurato la mia idea di un bosco tra luci e ombre, ricco di vegetazione e di fronde degli alberi di differenti tonalità, verdi, ocre e blu per le ombre. Come potete vedere dalle pennellate le differenze di colore generano anche le ombreggiature, e soprattutto ho evitato di usare il nero che è un colore che spegne i toni brillanti. In primo piano ho dipinto un vecchio tronco seccato dal tempo con tonalità di marrone per contrastare i colori del bosco e dell'acqua del torrente. Infine ho colorato le luci con il bianco e il verde chiaro sulle fronde, sui tronchi e sui rami per rendere la scena più luminosa.
