Soft like light.
Hi all guys and welcome back to my blog. Today I am returning to present a painting with oil technique on canvas of large size 160x100 cm. The subject is light, the most sought after and coveted element by artists, photographers, filmmakers and all the visual arts in general. I too am fascinated by light, its effects, its games, and the projections of new forms through shadows and shades.

Often the light harmonizes a landscape or an object, other times it emphasizes it and makes it more solid than reality, the light itself creates and leaves room for imagination and creativity.

If we then observe the backlit landscapes they have yet another effect and are distorted by the strong chromatic contrasts.

My painting today represents a dreamlike landscape, where light is the main protagonist. The light that comes from the sky also replaces the clouds, whitening the whole atmosphere, and making everything softly covered, like a shining blanket of snow.
I didn't want to give the landscape a sense of day or night, but an indefinite atmosphere, suspended in time. In the painting I also made small strips of white fog in the lower part between ruins and vegetation, to make the whole landscape dreamed and in harmony with the sky.

Morbida come la luce.
Ciao a tutti ragazzi e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi torno a presentare un dipinto con tecnica ad olio su tela di grande formato 160x100 cm. Il soggetto è la luce, l'elemento più ricercato e ambito dagli artisti, fotografi, filmmakers e tutte le arti visive in generale. Anch'io sono affascinato dalla luce, dai suoi effetti, dai suoi giochi, e dalle proiezioni di nuove forme attraverso ombre e sfumature.

Spesso la luce armonizza un paesaggio o un oggetto, altre volte lo enfatizza e lo rende più solido della realtà, la luce essa stessa crea e lascia spazio all'immaginazione e alla creatività.

Se poi osserviamo i paesaggi in controluce hanno ancora un altro effetto e vengono stravolti dai forti contrasti cromatici.

Il mio dipinto di oggi rappresenta un paesaggio onirico, dove la luce è la protagonista principale. La luce che viene dal cielo si sotituisce anche alle nuvole, imbiancando tutta l'atmosfera, e rendendo ogni cosa morbidamente coperta, come un manto di neve luminosa. Non ho voluto dare il senso del giorno o della notte al paesaggio, ma una atmosfera indefinita, sospesa nel tempo. Nel dipinto ho realizzato anche delle piccole strisce di nebbia bianca nel basso tra ruderi e vegetazione, per rendere tutto il paesaggio sognato e in accordo con il cielo.
