Moonlit

Hello to all dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I want to share with you a watercolor work very different from the usual watercolor technique.

I used less water to dilute the colors, so as to have them more dense and opaque. It is a night scene with northern European houses.

The particularity of the subjects is above all in the sharp shapes of the wooden roofs and in the visible beams. Often in northern Europe ancient houses have these decorative features, they leave the wooden structures clearly visible, without using plaster or mortar to cover them.

We can say that they are more ecological than us and that concrete is used very little, a lot of wood and stone. I wanted to give the country that I painted a sense of fairy, where time can stop for a moment.

Also at the top, on the tip of the roofs I inserted the weathercocks, typical of northern France and Germany.

The atmosphere I wanted to create is that of a full moon night, from the light of the white light on the houses and I hope you enjoyed the painting.

Illuminato dalla luna.

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi voglio condividere con voi un lavoro ad acquarello molto diverso dalla solita tecnica acquarellata. Ho usato meno acqua per diluire i colori, in modo da averli più densi e coprenti.

Si tratta di una scena notturna con delle case del nord Europa. La particolarità dei soggetti è soprattutto nelle forme aguzze dei tetti in legno e nelle evidenti travature a vista.

Spesso in Europa del nord le case antiche hanno queste particolarità decorative, lasciano le strutture in legno ben visibili, senza usare l'intonaco o la malta per coprirle. Possiamo dire che sono più ecologici di noi e che il cemento lo usano molto poco, tanto legno e pietra.

Ho voluto dare al paese che ho dipinto un senso di fatato, dove il tempo possa fermarsi per un istante. Anche in alto, sulla punta dei tetti ho inserito i galletti segnavento, tipici della Francia del nord e della Germania.

L'atmosfera che ho voluto creare è quella di una notte di luna piena, dal chiarore della luce bianca sulle case e spero che il dipinto vi sia piaciuto.
