The post will compare the two passive $WOO gaining options and find the best value for the price.

Why collecting $WOO:

  • A current undefined amount of Staked $WOO will allow you to get white listed during WOO land sale. Land is essential to the WOO game and will be part of the game launch
  • $WOO is a Governance token for the game
  • Future burning events like: Using $WOO to get cheaper tickets to Wrestling events, gold belt legendary cards or maybe even WOO branded products

WOO Mining

Currently WOO mining is one of the hot things on the block. Let's check out what this brings on the table:

  • There are hourly 50 draws happening from all ticket holder wallets
  • This means that there is 1 win/wallet. If a ticket from a wallet wins, then no more tickets from that wallet can win in that hourly airdrop again

There are currently 3 627 743 tickets distributed across 629 mining accounts. This has increase by a few 10.000 points this week, as there were a lot of lucky GB pulls. We are also expecting 3 GB and 596 SB Sonny Onoo's, with a total of 3x412000 + 596x4120 = 3 691 520 mining points (1GB Sonny seems to stay with the dev team). This means that the amount of tickets will double in the pool!

I have created a tool, which calculates the rough hourly chance of winning. The table is not perfect. It does not take into account that a wallet can't win twice, but gives a good base for calculations. You can use it here.

After the GB Sonny Onoo pulls are done I will decrease the win chance to 47 wins/hour in the table, as the owners of the GB Sonny Onoo mining cards will have an automatic win chance.

Now let's see how many mining points are needed to have a 95% chance to win daily (This should be good enough for most of the cases). According to my calculations:

20.000 Ticket will have around a 94.95% chance of winning after the Sonny Onoo drop. This number will decrease slowly if more cards are put into mining.
The current initial investment of 200$ would then net daily 342.466 $WOO, as prices of lore cards are at the 1 HBD range.

WOO Pack Airdrops

Each WOO pack get's once a day an airdrop.
This airdrop is distributed from a pre-set pool of rewards, which means, that by opening packs more rewards will be distributed to the remaining pack holders.
Also all pack have their own pool from which the rewards are distributed, so if Alpha packs are opened, then only the Alpha pack holders will receive a higher payout.
This is a steady income, which will increase slowly as people will open packs out of curiosity, mining and card flipping.

So the current (2022/11/13) airdrops for packs including sell price on the market are:

Edition1xPrice/PackAmount of packs for $200WOO earned daily from $200
WOOAlpha0,711 $WOO1.27$157 packs111.6 $WOO
WOOSaturn2,398 $WOO3.26$61 packs146 $WOO
WOORaven1,805 $WOO2.45$81 packs146 $WOO
WOOReward4,764 $WOO2.30$86 packs409 $WOO

Summary

In the long run mining rewards and Pack airdrops will end on July 13th 2023 as well, so there is no duration advantage to either of these options.
While currently the best $WOO earner is coming from mining, after the Sonny Onoo drop it seems the best value with the current prices will be by holding WOORewards packs to accumulate WOO for the long run.
