I don't think so. Def. not in the short run. You get only around 1.45 SPS/land plot, which will decrease by 1% each month for the next few years.
Land release will happen earliest sometime end of next year, so the money can be invested elsewhere (including a Node). What might boost a price a bit will be end of the year the land reveals (so you might find out where your plot is and what rarity it has).

If I would have the liquidity I might have bought a Node. The difference is that land costs around 1/8th of a Node.

So basically you can still wait with investing into land, and reap the benefits of it later (though it will be quite complex and a lot of cooperation will be needed between plots), though after reveal it will be harder to get plots near eachother (there will be travel times for transportation of goods).
