Hello Ladies and gentlemen of Hive Learners. I love this week contest topic. It's all about Scammers, knowing someone who was scammed or you being scammed.
Scamming is when someone uses some sort of trickery to get money from someone. This is really growing really fast due to the economic situation of the country. You hear stories here and there of how Mr A or Mrs B was scammed or escaped being scammed.
The worst part is, these scammers are coming up with new ideas on how to scam people. It's do bad yo the extent of bring careful of the links you click on the internet, the calls you pick etc.
Either the scam is as little as being defrauded of $5 or as huge as $5000, scam is still scam.
Someone tried to scam me on the hone some months ago. The method of his scam, I've heard people talked about it several times so I was aware. He called me this great morning, trying to ruin the rest of my day but I caught him.
He called and said my name in full, and said he was calling from my bank. I said okay.... He told me I had issues with my bank verification number (BVN). He even continued to confirm my date of birth and email address to prove to me that he's legit.
I just asked him which of my bank account is affected with BVN. He paused a bit and answered me with another session. He said "you mean you don't know which of your bank account has problem". I said I don't ooo. He then mentioned a bank I was not even using. I laughed and i was like look at this clown. I just cursed him and hung upon him, didn't even wait for him to reply. Eighty from the moment i heard his voice on the phone, I knew he was a fraud. Like how earth can you say you are customer service support and you don't know the bank the problem is coming from.
Moreover bank always warn their customers never to give out vital information's about our account. None of their officials would call to ask for those sensitive information's.
Thank you for reading guys. See you next time.
