Back to me,I am a makeup artist and a nail tech in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
My love for makeup must have been from my past live because it gives me so much joy whenever I see a beautiful face beat. But the irony of the matter is that I don't really wear makeup on my face. People think because I am a makeup artist, my face should always be full glam all the time. Sorry guys, but I do when necessary and trust me its always on point.
Getting Started as a professional makeup artist was not beans for me because first, I didn't train specifically under someone, you know how we do in Nigeria where you have to be an apprentice for quite sometime under a professional.So I learnt from instagram stories of really talented makeup artists and Youtube videos. It took a lot of videos and practicing for me to get a hold of the artistry and since I have not made it a big deal then i.e still practicing, I didn't really invest in my products. When I have mastered the art and ready to start out as a pro then I started getting good products because when it comes to makeup artistry or anything at all, quality is key. It makes getting the desired result easier. Mastering the skill;checked, products;checked. Now,gaining confidence to work on people's faces is next. I started with collaborations with photograhers and models.
This built my confidence gradually and also helped me network myself.
You might wondering that I have not mentioned anything about being a nail technician, wonder no more. My nail tech journey is similar to my makeup artistry in that I also learnt from videos.
Nail artistry also compliments makeup artistry , so I was like why not.
Still on the introduction, I like good varieties of food and I have it my future plans to go around the world just to have a taste of good food 馃槂馃槂, thats how much I love varieties of food. Do I love to cook? Hmm... maybe, maybe not but one thing I am sure of is that, it tastes so gooooood.
In conclusion, I am excited to be here because I have been looking for an avenue to blog that I was already working on having a website and all but you know its something to set up a website but this is way easier.
