THE TAJ MAHAL

The Taj Mahal,the most magnificent one among the seven wonders of the world,is a great wonder to me.
I had a dream cherished deep in my heart that one day I must visit the Taj Mahal. Fortunately, I got an opportunity to visit it last winter.
Standing in front of it I was amazed and thrilled.
It is not merely a building with pleasing beauty but also a building with profound love of Emperor Shah Jahan to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Shah Jahan built this building to make his wife's memory immortal.
It is made of fine white marbles with inlays of coloured marble.
The building has many open arches.
It rests on a platform of red sand stone.
There are four slender white towers rising from the corners of the platform.
There is a large dome above the centre of the building.
The building is surrounded with a nice garden.
In front of it there is a long pool.
The graveyard of Mumtaz lies inside the Taj Mahal.
Visitors all around the world come everyday to have a look of Taj Mahal.
I spent the whole day at the Taj Mahal and noticed that it looks diffierent at different times of the day.To realise the depth of love one must visit the Taj Mahal at least once in life.
