How To Change Screenshots From PNG To JPG On A Mac

Screenshots are very useful, but by default the file type is set to PNG on a mac. Here's how to change the default from PNG to JPG. Here are the simple steps:

1. Go to Applications/Utilities/Terminal to launch Terminal.
2. Copy and paste: defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg
3. Press Enter/Return
4. Copy and paste: killall SystemUIServer
5. Press Enter/Return
