Just testing how the EXXP/Hive comment integration looks on my $HNS enabled decentralized website...... it's not too shabby if I do say so myself :).
Some Background: I'm trying to find the easiest way to create and host the most stylish websites on IPFS/Skynet, and having a way for users to comment on my static blog would be huge. So, I'm testing out EXXP's WP Plugin for Hive integration to see if it can be used as a comment system, which in theory should work because the comments are all hosted on the Hive blockchain, rather than the website's database.
As an update, I think I will have to remove the EXXP/Hive comments feature from the frontend of my website. There's an issue with the posting of comments, which seem to go in an endless feedback loop. So, unlike I had hypothesized, the system did not work for me as a comment system for my IPFS website. I was able to login using the Hive username (the Google login doesn't work for some reason) and Private Posting Key, but the comments never posted. This was not a problem with using the plugin on my regular DNS web host.
Nevertheless, I think I'll keep the plugin to make automated posts from WordPress to Hive, just without the frontend commenting/login features and figure out another alternative for my needs in the time being. If anyone has been able to get this to work on their decentralized website, please let me know in the comments!
