Archmage Update: All Your Accounts in One Place, and Discord Alerts

Greetings, Battle Mages!

Most of this week's work went into the website and the Discord bot. If you play more than one account with Archmage, this update is mostly for you.

All your accounts in one place

You can now add every account you play with Archmage on archmage.app and switch between them from the menu with your name. Each account needs one Hive Keychain signature to add, and your browser remembers the list.

The new My Accounts page shows all of them at once:

  • whether the bot is on for that account
  • today's Wild wins toward the 5, 10 and 15-win daily rewards
  • the last battle, energy, credits and Land harvest
  • the most important thing to fix, if anything needs fixing

Each account has buttons to its own Settings, Land, Payment and Account pages. A Tiles / List switch shows the same information as one row per account. Click a column heading to sort by it, and click it again to reverse the order.

On the Land page you can copy your auto-harvest settings to your other accounts in one step. Keychain asks once for each account, and only the Land settings change.

Daily rewards over the last 14 days

archmage.app now keeps a 30-day record of each account's Wild wins per day. The Account page and My Accounts show the last 14 days as a bar chart. Each bar is coloured by how many of the three daily rewards that day reached, with a summary line such as "All 3 daily rewards on 9 of the last 14 days". This makes it easy to see which accounts often fall short, for example because they run out of energy.

The record started on 14 October, so the chart fills in day by day. It counts the wins the bot saw at its last check each day, so a battle you played by hand after that may be missing.

Your accounts in Discord

The Archmage Courier bot in our Discord can now tell you about your own accounts. Link your Hive account once with /verify. After that, these commands answer only you:

  • /status: whether the bot is playing your accounts, and what needs your attention if it is not
  • /wins: today's Wild wins against your daily rewards
  • /credits: your prepaid credits
  • /alerts on: a direct message when one of your accounts stops battling, and another when it is playing again

Anyone can also use /schedule (an account's next planned battle), /prices, /land (a Land summary) and /lore (the Archmage's story). The help commands now match the website, and new /myaccount and /land commands explain those pages. The old /graph and /usage commands are retired; your battle analytics are on the My Account page.

The bot also posts in #status-updates when Splinterlands is in maintenance or is not responding, so you know when quiet accounts are not a problem on your side.

Land Optimiser: upgrades from your other accounts

The Land Optimiser on the Land page can now also look at the free cards on another account, such as one of your other accounts. After its usual suggestions, it shows which of those cards would earn more on this account's land, plot by plot, with the extra DEC per day. Then you know what is worth delegating or transferring. It skips soulbound cards, because they cannot be moved, and by default it skips cards that account has battled with recently.

The DEC-per-day estimates now also take off the 10% tax that every harvest pays, so they are closer to what you actually receive. Some suggestions now show smaller gains than before. The per-hour production figures are unchanged and still match the game's own numbers.

As before, the optimiser only reads public data. You make any changes yourself in the game.

Posting key on the Settings page

The Settings page now checks for your saved posting key by itself when it opens. It shows "Posting key saved" straight away, or the key box with a reminder if no key is on file. No Keychain approval is needed for the check. If you have never saved your posting key, add it there, and your account starts battling within a few minutes.

Cards locked in Survival

Splinterlands locks a card for the rest of the season once someone plays it in a Survival bracket. After that, no other player can use it in any battle, Wild included. If you bought or rented such a card, the bot could pick it and the game would reject the team. The bot now leaves these cards out and plays your next-best option. They can be used again next season.

A new look

archmage.app has a new look built around the Archmage himself: new paintings of him on the home page and at the top of every page, and a Legend of the Archmage section with the original chapters of his story from our 2022 posts. The story now sits at the bottom of each page, so the useful part of every page comes first. On phones, pages no longer scroll sideways.

The Getting Started steps on the home page now have buttons for each step (buy a token, log in, set up payment, open Settings), and the footer links to every page, including both of our Hive blogs.

Do you need to do anything?

No. None of this changes how your accounts play. If you want the Discord alerts, run /verify and then /alerts on in our Discord. If you play several accounts, add them on archmage.app to see them all on one page.

May your energy bar never sit full!

Chapter VIII · The Far Hall
The far hall lay a day's walk to the east, its doors swollen with moss. Inside, row upon row of wooden figures stood asleep under the dust, each one carved by a different hand. Wren chose the newest, polished and bright, and it barely stirred. Then she tried an old, cracked one near the back. Its eyes opened green, and it rose so quickly that she stepped back. Old things remember more, the Archmage had told her once. As she led it out into the light, Wren noticed a small rune burned into its heel. It was not the Archmage's mark.
