I stumbled across this scene over the weekend in Ottawa. We had a couple of days of above-freezing weather, which caused snow to melt, and this area under the bridge to be flooded. Then the cold weather resumed and everything froze, embedding gravel in the ice. In late afternoon, the sun was shining into the scene, and bouncing back onto the bridge. So I got down on my belly and looked for a composition among the gravel and ice.
