It can be hard to find anything very interesting to photograph here in the suburbs of Montreal during winter. With our benevolent Quebec government's 8pm curfew, we soon won't be allowed to get out and photograph sunsets. But during a light snowfall, I came across these red berries, holding on to their colour through the cold months and awaiting spring. I'm reminded of the beauty and hope in this world for those who persevere.
