I think true friendship can survive pretty much everything, but true Closeness - even more so. We, people, cling a lot to relationships and titles because our world has taught us so. Without them we feel insecure and naked - as if our identity was taken away from us. "Who are you to me? A friend, an acquaintance, a lover, a partner, a one night stand, a brother in arms, a husband, a stranger, a father? God? Devil? An accomplice, an enemy?"
Who are you to me? Which one of these? But the real question is not that. The real question in the depths of every human soul (and not all this social personal bullshit we so cling to) is this - HOW CLOSE YOU ARE?
How close you are - despite of and beyond any title and denomination, any words that exist in human language, any understandings of this and that. The closer that closeness beyond words and ideas about personal relationships, the more two (or more) people will be able to do together through pretty much anything that would stop and break anybody else.
