It's late but it's the correct thing to do, China is expelling a number of US propagandists and asking their corporations for information about their real jobs in China.
Syria did this at the beginning of the crisis after a series of disinformation campaigns and fake news reported by a number of western propagandists leading to the arrest of Reuters office manager who faked a report and was caught on camera doing so, I reported about this earlier here and on my site, you can search it up.
Even the US president calls those media channels as fake news, who knows them better?
