Турецькі провінції, де стався землетрус оголошено зонами стихійного лиха. Про це написав у своєму Twitter президент Туреччини Реджеп Ердоган.
"Ми оголошуємо наші 10 провінцій, де стався землетрус зонами стихійного лиха, що діють у загальному житті", — йдеться у дописі глави Туреччини.
Ердоган повідомив, що за останніми даними в Туреччині загинули щонайменше 3549 людей і 22 168 отримали поранення.
Для забезпечення швидкого проведення пошукових і рятувальних робіт в країні оголошено тримісячний надзвичайний стан у 10 провінціях відповідно до статті 119 Конституції Туреччини.

Неможливо байдуже дивитись на ці кадри понівечених людських життів та суцільних руйнувань. Так, природа подекуди гнівається на людей, нагадує про себе різноманітними стихійними лихами. Ми вважаємо, що це не справедливо. Ми ж думаємо, що раз Бог нас створив, то нам все дозволено. Дозволено вирубувати ліси, змінювати русла річок, забруднювати водойми, бурити недра землі в пошуку корисних копалин, полювати на тварин, полювати на людей. Ці слова жодним чином не стосуються турків чи сірійців, чи навіть українців, які зараз потерпають від іншого лиха- військової навали росіян. Ці слова – до всього людства. Досить зневажливо ставитись до природи, досить використовувати свої знання на руйнування, настав час використати їх на творіння, заради безпечного життя наступних поколінь.

These words in no way apply to Turks or Syrians, or even Ukrainians, who are currently suffering from another calamity - the military invasion of the Russians. These words are for all humanity. It is enough to treat nature with contempt, it is enough to use your knowledge for destruction, it is time to use it for creation, for the sake of the safe life of future generations.
