I am very happy because today I can walk again to the Aceh Tsunami Museum which is located on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda No. 3 Sukaramai, Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh City.
Today I am not too focused on looking at the history of the Tsunami, but I want to look at a little history about the political story and war that occurred in Aceh between 1990 and 2003.
Now I am on the 4th floor and I am immediately greeted by a room with a minimalist information board design which is very aesthetic, I am not alone today with several other visitors who also went here to explore this very spectacular museum.
Here there are lots of memorable photos about the political history of Aceh's reconstruction and peace.
Here there is also a very complete journal written on the history of Aceh Peace with the Republic of Indonesia.
Then here there are also photos which are a gallery of peace in Aceh, the most memorable for me in this photo is the cutting ceremony of firearms belonging to GAM (Free Aceh Movement).
Then here there is also a photo of the hand held during peace between Wali Nanggroe Aceh Malik Mahmud and representatives from Indonesia in Helsinki.
Then, next to it, there are also several information boards with aesthetic designs which read about the various history of Aceh in the past at the time of the establishment of peace.
Leaving this room, I now continue to explore the items left by the Aceh Tsunami which are on display in the glass aquarium.
This is a sewing machine left over from the Tsunami disaster.
Then here there are also several books and Korans written in Arabic which were saved after being hit by a very powerful tsunami disaster.
Then there are also classic teapots and modern dispensers of the time, these are also items left over from the Tsunami.
Then here there are also several pairs of shoes left over from the Tsunami, the shoes here look very destroyed because of the great destructive power of the Tsunami waves.
These are three clothes belonging to employees from a company that were taken during the Tsunami disaster and have now been very well cared for and stored in glass.
And this is Tsunami's used women's dress.
There are also several kitchen utensils such as Topled and Blender which are still covered in Tsunami mud.
Bags and jerry cans
Pair of Sticks
Fragments of ancient dishes
Coins that were still used by the people of Aceh at the time of the Tsunami
And the last one is 4 photos after the Tsunami, you can see several volunteers wading through puddles of water, the rescue team, the Krueng Cut Bridge after the Tsunami and also the beach.
The most spectacular thing is, from the 4th floor, you can see the Architectural Design of the Tsunami Museum which is made in a circle with lattice walls and a beautiful steel frame above which hang the flags of various countries that helped Aceh when the Tsunami occurred.
My trip today was truly spectacular, apart from broadening my knowledge, a trip to the Tsunami Museum could also provide an extraordinary experience.
This is my fun travel trip today, see you in the next post.
