明治天皇と妻皇后両陛下に捧げられ、明治神宮の建設は1915年に始まり、1926年に完成しました。第二次世界大戦中に元の建物は破壊されましたが、1958年に再建され、東京の最も重要な宗教施設の一つです。
Dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken, construction of the splendid Meiji Shrine began in 1915 and was completed in 1926. Although the original structure was destroyed during WWII, it was rebuilt in 1958 and remains one of Tokyo's most important religious sites.
