The world is splitting in two.

There will be the energy and resource rich BRIC countries and their allies and the dying West, with energy and commodity prices that destroy manufacturing, travel and push food prices to levels where many will starve and freeze. Europe is committing suicide.

When will stupid Western politicians get it through their heads that Russia is not North Korea. It cannot be sanctioned into compliance. It is supported by more than half the world and that half produces most of the world's resources.

It can only be deterred by conventional military strength which Europe is sorely lacking.

I cannot believe that Ukraine is the hill Europe has decided to die upon.

Withdraw to a more defensible position (Poland?, Germany) and rebuild your military forces.
Forget about Ukraine - it is completely lost.
