The biggest joke and concern is how few tanks exist in the whole of European NATO. I did a Hive post on this a long time ago and from memory it was well below 1000 tanks total.

They really can't afford to give any to Ukraine as they hardly have any tanks themselves. Russia has about 20 times more tanks than all of European NATO put together.

Your analysis is correct except for one thing. Israel did not lose 50 tanks in 2006 to Hezbollah missiles. In the whole war there were 52 tanks hit by some kind of enemy fire (including IEDs) of which 5 were deemed not recoverable. Only one of the most modern tank (Mervaka IV) was destroyed by enemy fire.

But the Mervaka IV is the best tank in the world and are far superior to the what is being sent to Ukraine. Leopard 2s have a particularly poor record and AMX-10s are not a main battle tank at all.
