I guessed wrong.

You are not transferring white colonialist settler guilt, you are transferring German Holocaust guilt, which is much worse.

Your partner is from racist, genocidal South Africa which seeks to divert attention from its economic train wreck and ongoing genocide against white Boer farmers by attacking Israel's self defence against Hamas genocide (both actual and openly stated in their charter).

It is not collective punishment when every resident of Gaza is personally responsible for allowing Hamas weapons and Hamas tunnel entrances inside their homes. When so called "civilians" imprison hostages in their homes (as Hamas has just openly admitted).

It is personal responsibility, a more important civilisational value than even human rights.

Without personal responsibility there can be no human rights and the separation of these two concepts in post-modern thought has perverted the meaning of the later.

Jews literally wrote The Book on human rights (which all derive from the Jewish Bible) and the Germans (and Muslim Turks) wrote the the book on genocide.

So you have no right to lecture me or an other Jew on human rights and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Despite the fact that all Gazan residents are personally (not collectively) responsible for supporting and enabling Hamas, Israel has not punished them and has achieved by far the lowest "civilian" to combatant death ratio (1:1) that has ever been achieved in urban warfare. It has also allowed in humanitarian aid (most of which is stolen by Hamas). The only country to ever provide humanitarian aid to its enemy during wartime.

The destruction of Gaza is a direct result of Hamas storing weapons in and placing tunnels in and under every building and fighting from these buildings and using the populace as willing human shields.

And don't get me started on Muslim colonialism - how a new religion starting in Arabia conquered and forcibly converted millions and considers all land ever having been controlled by Muslims to be part of Dār al-Islam.

And let me ask you one question to confirm my suspicions. How many kids do you have?
