It is upsetting, but a lesson that Israel must stay strong and be able to defend itself by itself, against all threats (including Russia, China and the US).
Interestingly Israel is the ONLY country with the conventional military capability to actually threaten Russian military forces and strategic interests (in Syria).
If the West was strong and united a combined Israeli invasion of Syria and US/European invasion of Kalingrad would be an effective response.
Of course this is pure fantasy from a political perspective and not in Israel's interests.
Our accomodation with Russia in Syria that allows us to bomb Iranian forces weekly works well for us and Putin.
