Left for Dead - PhotoDay #11

Left For Dead - PhotoDay #11.jpg

The Netherlands is a country full of canals and water managed highways.
The Dutch people know how to manage a country surrounded and threatened by water as most of the land is beneath sea level. The countries name itself means "Low Lands".

Naturally the Dutch also have always known how to take advantage of this natural resource. As they have built canals and river ways for practical transport as well as recreational purposes.

The history lesson ends here :)

In summer time when tides are lower, you can see all kinds of debris in the canals.
Students tend think it’s okay to dump all kinds of stuff in the canals because it sinks to the bottom and easily solves the problem.

Bicycles are a popular way of transportation in the cities, so naturally allot of old bikes end up in the canals. Someone must have sent this old bike to its final resting place.
