Satoshi Tengu

Before he was aware of his surroundings he was alone in the dessert. He did not know where he came from nor what his name was. He was in the middle of a battlefield. There were wounds all over his body.

A warrior was coming towards him. However, he was just a kid and could not do anything. The warrior had no mercy and had not hesitation as he slashed the little boy. The little boy tried everything he could to dodge and survive, but still ended with a large wound across his face. The little boy also noticed that he had wounds on his arms and legs and he has decided to give up. Just as he closed his eyes to wait for the afterlife, someone took down the aggressive warrior. The little boy was saved and woke up in a cave. He wanted to see who saved him, but all he could see was a burning fire in the middle of the night, some vegetables on the side and a katana.

After paying closer attention, he noticed a note underneath the katana, the note read “Survive, use this to protect yourself”. He was confused but he was also hungry so he decided to cook some vegetables. He was along in the cave. Suddenly he heard footsteps. He drew out the katana ready to battle as if he already knows the wei of the sword.
His heart beated fast ... until the figure came closer. Turns out it was not a human but just a starving dog that is shaking from the cold night. The little boy then relaxed a bit and dropped the katana on the ground and welcomed the dog. He then proceeded to give the dog some vegetables to eat. After the meal, he picked up the katana and noticed some engravings on the katana. It read “Satoshi”....

On the next day, he went out of the cave and to his surprise the scene in front of him was horrific. There were just thousands of bodies lying on the ground. He then proceeded to travel to the nearest village with his new found companion who he named “Tengu”.

After entering a nearby village. He finally saw children roaming around who were about the same age as him. He was very happy and he wanted to talk to them. However, the children and adults who saw him screamed “Monster” and ran away..... and the adults told him to leave the village at once.

Without a choice, he decided to leave and somehow got to a nearby river. He was confused and sad but he was thirsty and just as he was about to drink some water from the river. He saw the reflection and got a yuge fright. He screamed and Tengu even got a fright...

He then realzied that it was himself.... he then remember that he was almost killed by the aggressive warrior yesterday and it seems that left a uuge scar across his face along with several scratches and there were also some burn marks which make him look quite scary....

So he decided to go back to the battlefield and picked up some gear to cover his face and body.... and made a decision to never show his face to another person.

Years gone by and he has became extremely strong and independent and his katana skills are top notch. People feared him as he was always wearing the helmet and armor which made him look super scary. He did not mind as he had Tengu as his companion whom he trusted....

And then that day... the disaster happened. Mutated animals stormed area. He and Tengu fought against the horde. Despite their best efforts, they managed to survive but Tengu was heavily wounded during the battle...

Satoshi was extremely sad as he had Tengu in his lap appearing very weak but with affectionate eyes... which eventually closed....

Satoshi decided to create a proper tomb for his only friend and family, just as he was digging up the area... he noticed that Tengu was no longer there. He become alarmed and suddenly felt something was jumping at him from behind, he turned around to block it and to his surprise... it was Tengu but he was no longer the Tengu he knew... it was a Mutated Tengu....

He knew he was more than powerful enough to slash tengu but he could not do it. So he placed Mutated Tengu in a cage.

Over time, he searched for methods to turn Tengu back... and eventually he was able to tame Tengu...
